Blankets by Craig Thompson is considered a masterpiece by many. It is a graphic novel that captures pains of growing up in a fundamental Christian family in a rural community with little tolerance for anything different outside its accepted social norms. Blankets is a story of first love, childhood abuse, sibling relations, and grips of family dynamics and religion.
The sunset over Pacific overlooking Cliff House was such a nice treat as my visit in San Francisco came to an end. Such a nice reminder of life’s passing journey.
According to Wikipedia’s wisdom, the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco is the oldest public Japanese garden in the US. It was established in 1894 and today we can visit the garden for $7 per adult. However, and thankfully so, one can enter for free from 9 to 10 am.
