Thank you…the oaks always have been a major supplier of food for wildlife and the Native American Indians. Next to the redwoods they are my favorite trees.
My goodness this is how I would describe the oaks in person… But I haven’t caught the essence of the oak yet…and frankly I don’t feel I ever will do that.
You are my Hudson School teacher, Maurice…I remember the essence of light in your work caught my attention first … My attempt to colorize is what it is …attempts … I never did well with colors because I don’t understand them
I took these at the base of Sierra Nevada between Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks…
My son goes to Sonoma State…Marine & Sonoma counties are one of my favorite places…
Your response pleases me, Barbara. I was torn as to whether I, personally, would accept…. I have and it’s given me the privilege of sharing “you” with others.
These are awesome π
Really love the telegraph pole one.

As a person living among the giant and ancient redwoods, I, too, love the mighty oak. Thank you, these are fabulous.
Oh, Barabara, these are glorious. My favourites of yours, now. They’re exciting! Subtly surreal. The processing is great.
Thank you do much. The oaks are majestic and I have not done them justice yet.
I just came back to look at these again. They appeal to me so much. I like the grunginess together with the rich colours and all that stuff going on!
These are so beautiful!
Nostalgic (in a good way), and simply beautiful to look at.

You went from this to NYC?

Simply followed the job market…there are bills to pay… Kids to be put through college…you know all that daily jazz
Your use of color has become overwhelming—maybe you always had this ability, and I am late in discovering it. Thanks for bringing CA to CT.

Rely on your instinct, not theory. You are a unique talent–that’s all we have to understand.
These are beautiful!
Lovely Barbara! Are these along the coast of CA, the area looks similar to Sonoma County, which is a wonderful area to visit.
